THE POTENTIAL OF LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS (LNG) APPLICATION

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is a natural gas with the main composition CH4 - Methane (94.3%), characteristics of being colorless, odorless, non-toxic, cooled at -162ºC to converted to liquid form, convenient for storage and transportation from the place of production to the consumer market because it occupies only 1/600 of the volume compared to air at standard conditions (15°C, 1atm).

Compared to current fuels, this is the cleanest gas. LNG gas surpasses all the shortcomings of traditional fuels because of its low emissions into the air and is suitable for industries that discharge clean gas into the environment after combustion.

Liquefied natural gas is many times more economical and safer than old types of fuel. LNG evaporates quickly and disperses leaving no residue, so there is no need to clean the medium for LNG to leak into water or soil.

The application of liquefied natural gas as a replacement for many old fuel sources will help ensure national energy security and open a new era of safer and more efficient energy.
